I’ve been using Tatcha’s Ageless Revitalizing Eye Cream ($135/15 ml) since the longest time I can remember. I got hooked onto it in 2013, when Tatcha used to have promos where they would hand out a generously sized deluxe sample of the eye cream or the face moisturizer with ANY order. Unbelievable, right? I have placed so many orders on their website in the past couple of years that I have always managed to have some samples at my disposal (this is after distributing some to my mom and sis). In between the various deluxe samples and foil packets, I’m sure I must have gone through the equivalent of at least two full sizes! Now that I’m finally run out, I broke down and bought a full size.
I have always held the stance that we don’t need anything special for our eye area. If it’s good enough for the face, it should be good enough for my eyes too, right? And I still believe in this theory partly – It would be hard to part with my cash for an oil based eye serum. I use all my face oils around my eyes with absolutely no problem. In fact, my face oils do a better job at nourishing my eye cream than the eye creams from most brands (Dr. Alkaitis, Phoenix Botanicals, Hollybeth Organics etc.) that I’ve tried so far. Almost all eye creams cause my eyes to water and the skin around my eyes to itch, except for Tatcha’s eye cream.
This cream is an absolute dream as far as the application process is concerned – a very small amount is needed to moisturize. I usually apply my face oil on my entire face first (including the eye area) because for me, the added moisture and slip helps the cream get absorbed better, and finally, leading to less product consumption. Initially, I tried to apply the cream first, and then avoided applying the face oil (Caroline Hirons recommends eye creams should be applied first to allow our eye area to benefit from its ingredients, and then the rest of the face products), but between the facial mist spritzing etc., it never worked out for me. I found myself tugging my delicate eye skin, and also, wasting too much product. Regular application of this cream has kept my eye area very hydrated, and somehow, brighter looking. When I don’t apply this cream, I can see the difference…my dark circles look more pronounced. So, I don’t think this cream leads to permanent brightening, but it at least does a good job of temporarily brightening the area as long as you wear the product. A large jar holds 15 ml of the product and should last a very long time (say, 6+ months). You definitely get your money’s worth as far as the longevity is concerned.
The cream is slightly pinkish in color, with a very light texture. The fragrance is almost undetectable. The wide mouth of the glass jar makes it easy to reach to the product. The packaging is stellar – you’ll want to flaunt this cream on your bathroom counter. It feels and looks like a high end product.

Upcoming Releases – I hear a Limited Edition Red Lipstick and a Sunscreen is in the works 🙂 If there’s one company that can make me wear either of these products, it’s Tatcha. You can sign up for early access to the Red Lipstick here – I love this preview where they’ve included models with different skin tones to demo how the red lip color will look like in real life. Icing on the cake would be if we could upload our personal pics and take the assessment! 😉
